I’ve been at the American Wind Energy Association’s 2010 conference in Dallas the last few days, and I’ve been struck by how few companies have embraced social media so far.  Given the complexity of the stories that need to be told and the fact that there’s just a handful of traditional media outlets covering the emerging field, few sectors could benefit from it more.  That said, there were a few standout companies and organizations that have seen the potential and are seizing it with gusto. Exhibit A is the Metro Denver Economic Development Council.  In addition to starting the #CleanTechHub conversation, they got Colorado Governor Bill Ritter to participate live (here’s their Twitter feed).
